I am not a politician. I am a builder, an engineer, and a businessman. I am stepping forward as Chief because the time for playing by the rules of a broken system is over.
I grew up in the city of Winnipeg, raised by a single mother alongside my siblings. Like too many of our young people, I faced the exact same hardships and traps designed to consume us. But I refused to let the pain and stress break me. I weaponized it. I used it as fuel to turn myself into something the system didn't expect — a builder who could create, who could lead, and who could fight back with competence instead of just anger.
Today I run multiple operations, including Vector Asset Analytics, where we build advanced intelligence systems. I have spent my life learning how to adapt, how to create solutions, and how to conquer impossible odds — all while striving to be the strongest father and husband I can be. Recently, I concluded high-level work examining how our collective assets and governance systems are being managed across First Nations. What I found only deepened my resolve.
I am running because I can no longer watch our people suffer under systems that were supposed to protect us. Like many of you, I have seen the hurt — on reserve and off — and I know it doesn't have to be this way.

Sovereignty Through Truth
The hurt is the same whether you live on the reserve or are trying to make it off-reserve. For generations our people have carried the weight of broken promises, systemic barriers, and the quiet pain of watching our future get decided in rooms we are not allowed into.
But the hardest truth is the one inside our own territory. For too long, systems meant to serve the membership have been captured by interests that do not put our families first. Substance abuse, violence, and the loss of our relatives are not random — they are the predictable result of poverty, hopelessness, and leadership that too often chooses self-preservation over service.
We cannot heal what we will not name. And we cannot build abundance using the same broken tools and empty promises that brought us here.
If we want real sovereignty and abundance for our children, we must have the courage to demand enforceable transparency and restructure the systems that have failed us. This vision was given to me by the Creator and the ancestors who fought for us to be here. It is time we finished what they started.
This is not about one election. It is about building laws and tools that give you — the membership — the permanent power to protect our collective wealth and hold every future leader to their oath.

Enforced Transparency & Accountability
Power Back to the MembershipPolicy papers without enforcement are just words. We will give the membership real, practical tools to demand and verify transparency — and consequences when leadership breaks its oath.
- Petition-Triggered Independent Audits: Any significant group of members (threshold to be set with community input) can trigger a full, independent audit of band finances, corporations, or specific transactions — no more waiting for permission from the very people being questioned.
- Public Access Rights: Every BCR, contract over a certain threshold, travel claim, and allocation of resources will be accessible to members through a simple, timely process. We will explore secure digital tools so this information is available without having to fight for it.
- Conflict of Interest & Oath Enforcement: Clear, enforceable rules with real consequences for sitting councillors and chiefs who have financial or personal interests in band decisions or corporations. Breach of oath will no longer be without remedy.
- Right to Information Law: Formal band law guaranteeing members timely access to information, with an independent review mechanism if requests are denied or delayed.
Goal: Make transparency the default, not the exception — and give you the legal tools to enforce it.

We will work to strengthen the Financial Administration Law, Election Act, and create clear, enforceable mechanisms for membership to trigger reviews, audits, and accountability processes without needing permission from the leadership being questioned.
This is how we make sure the next generation doesn't have to fight the same battles.

Real change will not come easily. There are entrenched interests — both inside and outside our Nation — that benefit from the current lack of transparency and weak accountability. They will resist.
But going to the ballot box and voting for the same approaches that have kept our people waiting is not neutrality. It is choosing to continue the cycle.
We have a choice: keep managing decline, or do the hard, necessary work of restructuring so that Yellow Quill can finally stand in its full power — wealthy, transparent, and self-determining.

Many First Nations, including Yellow Quill, provide options for off-reserve members. Confirm with the Electoral Officer what mail-in, advance poll, or other accommodations are available for the 2026 election. We encourage all members living away to stay engaged — your voice matters.
We will work with Council, legal experts, and the membership to strengthen the Financial Administration Law and related governance documents.
